A STARK-Up Initiative

Together, make online safety within everyone’s reach.

No one should have to face online abuse alone—or pay to find a way forward. Jouhatsu brings practical guidance, reporting tools and trusted support routes together at no cost to the people who need them. Partner with STARK-Up to extend that support, strengthen prevention and help more people take back control.

HELP SHAPE WHAT COMES NEXT

Stop the cycle where content is shared.

Reporting helps address harm that has already happened. Stronger prevention needs the platforms that host and share content. We invite those platforms, safety organisations and technical providers to build responsible prevention partnerships with STARK-Up. Automatic matching and blocking are not currently available through Jouhatsu.

Start with a shared purpose

Agree who the partnership supports, how identity and authority are checked, and who handles reports and appeals. Put the affected person’s safety and choices first.

Protect privacy at every step

Develop secure connections with participating platforms, using only information the person has authorised. People need clear choices about sharing and withdrawal. Platforms review matches under their own rules.

Show what works

Measure real platform responses, removal outcomes and reappearances. Publish tested coverage and be clear about gaps. Prevention promises must be backed by working integrations.

Organisational agreements can fund integration, training and the infrastructure needed to expand access. Individuals use Jouhatsu at no cost, and sponsors receive no access to their case records. StopNCII remains an independent service with its own participation terms.
